DV Cable compatibility with Sony Handycam DCR-HC52/54

Hello,

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-HC52/54 which has no USB output to connect to my computer but it has a DV cable option. From online I found out there is this offer that has six variety of outputs with USB on the other end. Now I want to know the 1394-4-pin will work as the dv cable for that particular handycam. From the picture it looks that it's going to work but I am not sure.

Please help me decide so that I can buy that cable.

that uses USB that will work - unless you choose to use an analog to digital transfer unit (sometimes referred to as a capture card) like those form Roxio or Elgato or other manufacturers.

If you want true digital capture, connect the camcorder's DV port (not USB) to the computer's firewire port (not USB) with a firewire cable (not USB). USB-to-firewire cable/converter/adapter things will not work.
