Slow motion video camera

Hey guys,

I really need some advice on what digital camcorder or camera to buy. I specifically need something which can record high frame rate slow motion video.

I have listed my requirements in order of importance

- High Frame rate 1000fps-500fps video
- Reasonable resolution at this frame rate 640x480 would be okay but the higher the better.
- Cost no more than £500. Ideally less than £350
- Is reasonably compact and an absolutely ideal would be something which has a waterproof case.

The frame rate and resolution are most important and i've seen lots of specialist camera's which are amazing but unfortunately a bit too expensive for me.

but the only ones I know of are in the Casio Exilim line. Be sure to add lots of light to the subject. You may have a trade-off to make... The EX-ZR100 can get up to 1000 fps - but it was designed to be a still image capture device - not a video capture device - and it is not waterproof. A waterproof case is likely available from a third party. Depth in water will mean more $ to protect your camera. I would not trust a $30 waterproof case.

The waterproof cameras can't go very deep. Fighting pressure is bulky and expensive.
