How do I fix a condensation problem in my Canon camcorder?

I'm getting a message "Remove cassette" and also "Condensation detected." Camcorder will not record or playback. I've tried different cassettes. Any ideas on remedying this problem?

Usually fatal.

If following the manual notes about drying out it means the sensor or the board that measures the sensor is gone. You can google about folk that short out or remove the sensor which may be the right choice considering how much repairs cost.

Disconnect the power source, either the cord or battery, and reconnect it if abnormal characters appear on the screen and the camcorder does not function correctly. Press the "Reset" button on the back of the camera with a pin or pencil point if it is still a problem.
