Hi everybody, I'd appreciate some advice pls.

Instead of buying a pricey dvr I thought would it be possible to connect a mini cctv that is powered to my sony dvd403e and record the images onto the dvd in the handycam.
Apparently the handycam acccepts video in but I haven't found any write ups of people having done this already.

I don't need to record from the cctv for very long, the mini cctv has a yellow video wire, a power wire that plugs into the adaptor and a red audio wire.

Most consumer camcorders will run for about 30 minutes and then turn off. If that's good enough for you then you are done.

DVRs are no longer expensive as I see them on newegg, amazon and geeks.com. Your choice here.
