Mini Card in Vixia camcorder

The message when I try to take a photo in my camcorder says "Undefinable image". I cleared all the photos, up booted it like it was new, it would take 1 or two photos and then that message will appear again and the photo will not take. When you look in the lens, it appears that it is working. The shutter works and all. It gives a reading like it is working. Any suggestions?
