How many lux to record stage performance

My son has his dance performance at the end of June. I have a low budget and prefer looking at a second hand camera, mainy because I will only use it that time only. A cellphone you take everywhere, camera you don't.

I was wondering what should the lux number be to be able to record a stage which will probably be dimley lit. I used to have a JVC MC500 which did the job very well but I don't know what lux it had.
