Yes, I think that's the issue I'm having. I found a script on the videohelp.com forum and there's a deinterlace option, I'll see if that works.

I have a Canon Vixia (AVCHD) camcorder,i am annoyed with the MTS files, for they counldn't be edit on Adobe Premiere but now i found out a fastest and easiest way to solve it-just use a professional HD Video converter which can convert MTS/TOD/MOD to wmv, mov, mp4, avi, etc. without any problem.The software seems to do a decent job. I've had good results converting the .mts files to .mov, with the settings h.264, 12000kbps, 1280*720, 25fps, aac. The files look good on my Mac running Adobe Premiere, edit easily, and convert well to DVD format.

do not support USB-based video streaming, you have to rely on others converter boxes and the like - assuming you don't get a camcorder with a DV port (firewire, IEEE1394, i.Link).

You did not tell us what you plan to be between the HF R100 and the internet (i.e., what computer, how it is connecting to the internet - wired or wireless connection, etc)...

If your computer has a firewire port, I would invest in an ADVC55 analog/digital converter from Canopus/Grass Valley. Connect the camcorder's analog AV-out to the ADVC55's analog/AV-in; connect the ADVC55's firewire port to the computer's firewire port...

If your computer has no firewire port and no way to add one, then you can investigate the USB-based analog/digital converters from Elgato and Roxio - among many others...

Expect a reduction in video quality. Also understand that camcorders were not designed to be broadcast-streaming devices. Plan on it going to sleep at the moment you don't want that to happen.
