NTSC and PAL HD Video mistake

hi Folks,

I mistakenly bought a Lumix ZR-1 which features NTSC playback rather than PAL. I don't need to playback through a TV, so no worries there. However, I am confused about the encoding quality.

The frame sizes for NTSC and PAL are the same: 1280 x 720. The frame rates are different : 25 and 30.

The video's are encoded using Photo-Jpeg compression... as I understand it, photo-jpeg is neither NTSC or PAL. Which might mean that the only difference is the frame rate. Would there be any difference in the image quality, in terms of noise or color tones?
