DVD 201 additional information

I just purchased a Sony DVD 201 and wanted some recommendations as to editing software and any additional reading on this type of camera. Along with any recommendation I request why you recommend this product. Thanks for your help. Just trying to fully understand what I have and what I need.

I will not offer more than what I use. No reason why, sorry.

I use a variety of software depending on what I need to do. The list includes Virtual Dub, DVDSHRINK, Nero, CDBURNERXP, Ulead (various products), MyDVD, Audacity, Freecorder, OpenOffice and maybe some other items.

All these are just tools I use in the course of the day to make a slideshow or video.
