won't playback, EJECT TAPE

I have a fully recorded tape that I won't playback. When I load the tape the camera (Canon zr25) immediately says EJECT TAPE. It will accept other tapes, and it was playing this tape earlier. Any ideas?...

I know the problem. I have a Canon ZR40 that gives me similar difficulties, except it only happens when I'm trying to record. Playback seems to be fine, most of the time. I've found that if the camera is being used for a lot of consecutive use, it likes to spit out tapes. My warranty expired and I'm tired of trying to make this thing work. I'm looking at a 3CCD camera.

having same problems

My Canon ZR25 is now having the same problem. I've had it for about 6 years and now it will not play back. I don't want to invest in repairing it because i want to buy a new HD camcorder. My question is i have a lot of MiniDV tapes that didn't get converted to CD's. Should i invest in a cheap camcorder so i can convert my MiniDV tapes? or is there another option?

it depends on the hidef camcorder you get

HD = High Definition. If you get a miniDV tape based camcorder, they can read DV (4:3) Widescreen DV and High Definition.

If you think HD = Hard drive, then you will have a problem... Just in case, a hard drive based camcorder is referred to using "HDD".

I meant a Hard Disk Drive camcorder. So it looks like i'm out of luck on the MiniDV tapes unless i get another camcorder that takes it and then convert them huh?
