Best camera with HD video focusing under $200?

I got a Coolpix S6300 for Christmas. It replaced an old Kodak EasyShare from many years ago. I wanted a camera that shot 1080p video, and I had read some good reviews for the Coolpix. Unfortunately, the focus feature on the camera is terrible. Despite having all the settings correct, I can't get the camera to focus on objects as I zoom in. I hold the camera still for about 30 seconds, hoping the camera will eventually focus on the object, but it never happens. I've tried this several times in different lighting, but it still won't focus properly.

I'm going to return the camera and look for something else. Can anyone recommend another camera with decent video focusing?

You want to move to manual focusing.

After a few decades of auto focus I've learned one thing. Turn it off and go manual.

I can never answer the best question. YOU make the call. Here's a camcorder with 1080 recording and manual focus.

Samsung HMX-Q10 Camcorder

Next thing you know I'll see some question about low light.

Sony Cybershot wx150...It is about $150

It takes great video and beeautiful still pictures. Twilight is a great feature. It takes a picture in almost total darkness without flash! It is also really small.
