Repair or buy new camera?

Hi All,

I currently have a Samsung SL-30 10.2 MP camera which I bought in 2010. The lens on the back of the camera got damaged, so it takes photos okay, you just can't see what your shooting. Is it best to just buy a new camera? I've seen nice 16 MP cameras for $70 new. I don't use the camera a lot, but if repairs are expensive, I'll just get a new camera. If anybody has had a similar experience, any feedback would be good!

Buy a new (or used) camera

It will cost more to fix your old camera than it is worth, and as much as a new cheap camera.

Thanks! I figured that was probably the case, plus with a new camera the picture quality will be better and it'll be, well, new! I'll just buy a new one and maybe sell the old one on ebay or try to get in a trade in credit at the camera store. happy
