Tripod help!

I am looking at the manfrotto 190xprob and the 055xprob.. is the difference between them just the height and weight? is the 055x a lot more stabalized? and also what is the cheapest tripod i could get that has the Q90 colum feature?

The BHphotovideo winter 2013 paper catalog states:

"Similar to the 190X Series, but with increased operating height and max load capacity"

Logic says that it also has a wider stance and therefore should be more stabalized.
