polorizing methods, mini-digital?

Thanks to the advice here, I decided to hedge my bets - carrying a boat anchor (F828) to Ireland, and a Samsung ST201 for fast, less composed shots.

I'm well set with Photoshop for post processing, but will be taking ND and PL filters for the Sony. Bur that little ST... hmm.

I'd Like to be able to polorize that lens - which, on the surface is an absurdity. I have seen a suggestion of rigging a 35mm film cartridge (http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/indexmag.html?http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/artsep04/iwpoladaptor.html), but was wondering if there might be a more elegant solution. Any ideas?

I've done this a few times over the years. The last time I borrows someone's polarized sunglasses to get a quick shot off that had light bouncing off the waters. Just held the shades over the lens and snap. Turned out OK.
