Hello,
I'm aware this forum is to discuss about digital cameras and I may need advice on that later but right now I'm also asking for film camera advice.
This is my situation:
I'm a graphic design student and next year I'm taking photography classes. Because of this I wanted to buy a camera for my class in the next months, but I've heard that (at least in my college) some teachers demand you use a film camera instead of a digital one.
So my questions are:
1.Which would be a good film camera choice for a beginner that has a tight budget (around $200 or under)? (Have in mind that I know absolutely nothing about photography).
2. Which would be a good digital camera for me? (This is an extra because I think I'll buy a digital camera later on)

My dad's old 1,200 film camera which was top of it's class a decade ago goes for about 25 bucks on ebay. So for FILM CAMERAS I'd go with ebay.
For digital cameras your budget was not told but for a beginner why not the top selling point and shoot from amazon? It's on their best sellers list at:

I suggest you visit a local camera store.
Not a department store but a store that deals only with camera gear.
They have likely taken in some very good film cameras from people who were switching from film to digital.
The market for film cameras is almost dead so they should be happy to let one of them go for cheap.
I would start looking for a Canon or Nikon SLR camera. Either would be perfect for a photography class.
