what is the best way to store batteries ?

Hello everyone,
i have camcorder and digital camera but I'm not use the cameras too often perhaps one time in every three month or more,so my question what is the best way to store the batteries and keep it in good condition ?
Charging the battery and store it or discharge and storage the battery and what temperature ?

The usual accepted answer is 80% or better charge (dead is bad) and in a dry cool storage location.

To bring out of storage you let it warm back up, charge it according to it's maker and then use it. The downside is you need a day's notice to pull it back into service.

You are having a AA or luthium ? AA batteries is very badly because it essily broken if you don't use camera in a long time, the AA batteries can make your camera broken, too. And luthium batteries is better. If you want to keep battery good, you should put the batteries outside of the camera. And you shouldn't turn on the camera in hight temperature, it can make your battery slowly. A?, you should change the new battery every year to keep you camera working best.
