Windows Explorer - JPEG Files

I got a new camera for Christmas. I just transferred over the pictures to my computer. I have Windows XP. However, when I look at them on Windows Explorer it only lists the date I transferred the photos to the computer.

With my old camera, it also listed the date the photo was taken. Now the only way I can see the photo date is to move my mouse over the file and a screen comes up. The computer obviously has the date taken info on file. Is there some way to display this on Windows Explorer?

If I right cick the photo, and select Properties, all the dates show the transfer date. I'd appreciate any info.

Thank you so much! I learned something new tonight. At first, I didn't understand what your reply meant. But I went up to View and found Choose Details. There I found that the Date Taken box was not checked.

XP has been out for over a decade and at times my answers are shorter for that old OS....

Bob, please don't apologize. I've used XP for many years too and should have known how to do that. LOL
I have another computer - a new one with Windows 7 - but I still feel most comfortable with XP. Thanks for helping me out.
