Are photos/videos from a damaged/corrupted SDHC memory card

I recently bought a Sony WX9 and a 16 gb Kingston SDHC Class
10 memory card, and used it for about 3 weeks; came home from vacation,
connected the camera to the tv via a USB cable and was browsing through all the
pictures. It kept freezing, so the parental decided to stick the memory card
into a photo frame. I don't know much about the details between putting the
memory card in the photo frame and then seeing a "C.13.01" error code, but I
can no longer see my photos. It also asked me to format the memory card and I tried, but it says the formatting failed. I tried inserting the memory card directly into a
reader on my laptop, and no luck (computer doesn't even recognize anything). I
know it's not the camera, b/c I tried a different memory card and it works
fine.
<div>I have evidence to believe that it's a connection problem, but are my photos recoverable? Is there software that can
recover the media? </div>
