Lumix DMC-TZ3 wont turn back on

Lumix DMC - TZ3...I was replacing the memory card when I turned the camera on and the batt/mem door opened up. I closed and locked it and the camera beeped twice and shut off. Will not turn on now. Can anyone HelP?

*Make sure the mode dial is not out of place[i.e. half way etween two modes]
*Take out the batery, wait at least 1 minute, and reinsert.[make sure the battery is still charged.]
*Also, try a different compatible memory card.

On most cameras, opening the battery/memory card door shuts off power.
It might have cut power right in the middle of some operation.

If the lens was extending or retracting at the time, the lens may not be completely extended or retracted.
If the lens appears to be retracted, gently press on the front of the lens housing to help it seat.
If the lens appears to be extended, gently pull on the lens housing to help it seat.

If the cameras was writing the memory card at the time you lost power,
you could have a data error on the memory card.
Remove the memory card and see if the camera will work without the card.

If those do not fix the problem, remove the battery from the camera, and recharge the battery.
