Class1Div1 photography

Does anyone have any information on a US certified (UL) intrinsically safe camera to use in potentially explosive atmospheres? I've found a couple with the (EX) designation for Europe, but none currently marketed for US.
I have an Olympus Stylus 720 that is several years old. I bought it to use on kayak trips and have been favorably impressed with the rugged water-tightness of the camera. As an ex-commercial diver, I understand that watertight doesn't necessarily mean gas tight, but with radios, handheld PC's, and lots of other devices made to these standards, why are there no cameras?

the better alternative ? Electronic stuffs are prone to failure regard humidity, vibration impacts, and heat. During the world war eras, there were many good camera, such as old Pentax and Leica MP.

In fact, you should look at some sections on the internet, such as war photography.

He's one of my favorite photographer. In fact, he still currently uses Canon 1V, 1N SLR for shooting his pictures.
