What Nikon DSLR to get to take my old lenses?

I am in the market for a Nikon Digital SLR and hope to be able to use 3 lenses I happily used for years with a Nikon 8008. They are (1) AF Nikkor 70-210mm f/1.4-5.6, (2) Nikkor-Q Auto 1:4 f=200mm, and (3) Promaster AF 28-105mm 1.4-5.6. Is that possible? If so...
a. Would I need the FX format or would they work on DX?
b. If I need FX, it looks like the Nikon D700 is the cheapest; right? It is more than I would like to spend, but if it takes that to make my lenses functional, I'll do it. I gather the D700 has in-body VR; right? If so, that would be a big plus, right? Also, I read that the D700 has a 95% viewfinder; is that much of a problem?
c. If my old lenses will not work, I was thinking about a D90 with an AF-S DX Nikkor 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VRII (due to be released this month).
Any advice would be most appreciated.
