Airport Express...HELP!

Hi,
I recently visited the US and bought an Airport Express.
However upon going back to my country, I wasn't able to have it communicate with my home internet router...
My main goal it to play music from my laptop via the Airport Express and listen to it on my sound system. The computer picks up on the Airport Express using the Airport Utility, but I can't get the Airport Express to connect to the router.
Apple support didn't sound all that sure of themselves but said that possibly the Airport Express can only connect to an apple router...I'd appreciate any help and advice as I'm long way from the US and sending back would be just as expensive as paying for it...

is used in the country you are in than with the Airport Express.

It could be that your home router is talking on different frequencies than the Airport Express.

Although the frequency band for Home Wireless is the same all over the world, there is a subtle difference in the way that frequency band is used.

Find out what channel your home router is on and then change the AE to be on the same channel

Generally, channels 1, 6 & 11 are the better ones to use

What channel is your Router on?

Do you have a "Green" light on the AE?
