FaceTime drops network on both MBP and iPhone

My 2009 MBP and iPhone 4s drop the wireless network connection when I activate FaceTime requiring a full restart for both devices. Doesn't happen with Skype (sometimes does with iTunes, but seems episodic). Thoughts?
