I bought my 13" macbook pro during the summer of 2009 and I was wondering if I should be looking to upgrade my hardware to make my Mac?
My uses: mostly watching movies (played from my external hard drive to not clutter up my HDD) , I don't really play games but I am an engineering student so there are some programs out there I may have to get later on, like CAD programs and the like. I take my computer everywhere with me in my bag so it gets moved around a lot as much as I try to avoid putting it through any excessive abuse.

My current set up is as follows:
Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 13"
<div>2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
4 GB 1067MHz DDR3 Memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card
250 GB Hitachi HDD
If any of this sounds blatantly wrong I apologize. I'm not a computer expert but I do know a little bit.
I also wanna know if it would be worth it to replace my HDD to a solid state drive? I don't really like the idea of hard drives burning out on me after a while and from what research I have done the SSDs can be written over more times than an HDD because no moving parts.
Help?
