Imac, Wii and Canopus advc 110.

Hi everyone.
I am trying to connect a Wii to my Intel Imac 24" via the Canopus advc110 device using Firewire. Using iMovie, I have managed to obtain a distorted double black and white image only.
Any suggestions?......Software vs hardware? I know that I can always purchase a eyeTV but it seems to me that the Canopus should work.

Yes. I used it to convert analog to Digital through the included software on a Dell laptop. I know the canopus works with both Mac and PC which is why I think it should work!!

Software for the Canopus

is not required as iMovie imports directly from it.

Is there something on the Wii that you can adjust?

Anything in the book of rules for the Wii?

Sorry for the delay in responding. A simple adjustment of the preferences in Imovie (as suggested by a Dick Smith's sales rep!!) and voi la...a picture. Unfortunately, there is no sound. There remains sound for the the rest of the computer, just not with imovie. I know that the sound works as video now also works through quicktime pro. However, while we have sound in QT, the picture is only small......Its one or the other...Full screen and no sound (imovie) or small screen and sound (QT).

Canopus has toggle switches

The Canopus should have tiny toggle switches on the back. Read the instruction manual to make sure that each of the several switches is in the correct position.
