I have windows XP...

I have a Mac Pro and I run Windows and Mac with Parallels. I am new to the "Mac World" and still not very happy about it.
My keyboard gets to F12 (no F13, no F14...).
I use Windows XP, and I really need to be able to use prntscrn on the windows side.
I tried Command(apple) + shift + 3: it takes the snapshot, but it does not place it anywhere.
I tried to find other ways... but I am completely lost.

Please Help!

Just Click on start menu , select run and type OSK and press ok
or run on screen keyboard from accessories menu

in "on screen keyboard" you have print,screen key
use it and enjoy
also , pressing alt with this key , captures focused windows only

Go to 'Ease of access tool' in accessories and use the onscreen keyboard. Has print screen button there. BOOOOM!

[fn][shift][F11] - for everything on the screen

[fn][shift][alt][F11] - for a specific window

I have been reading all the posts and asked questions... still no answer to the problem (besides using a PC keyboard - which is NOT a solution, but a way around it).

Mac computer, windows in parallele, F12 the last F key on the keyboard = nobody seems to know how to prntscrn on the windows side.

Thanks anyways - but I have to say NO HELP at all.

P.S.
now I really do not know what to do... it sucks!

for print screen in Parallels, gird up your loins and head to Google.

While this doesn't solve the original question (I still have no idea which key, if any, on this keyboard is mapped to PrtSc), it is a workaround that I've been using for a while now:

Greenshot is a free (open-source) screen capture utility that's a lot more flexible than the built-in screen capture capability in Windows. You can capture any region of the screen - you don't have to capture all of it if you don't need all of it.

SOLUTION!

What a bunch of weird answers that got NOTHING to do with the actual thread question. And although this thread is like gazillion years old, I still found an urge to post this...

Here's how I solved this matter (requires a reboot!):
1 - Get a program called 'KeyTweak' -> http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/KeyTweak.shtml
2 - Install and run/start the program
3 - Click on "Half Teach Mode"
4 - Then click on "Scan a single key"
5 - NOW YOU PRESS THE PRINT SCREEN-BUTTON ON YOUR KEYBOARD
6 - From "Destination Key"-dropdown menu, locate Print Screen
7 - Click on "Remap"
8 - Reboot and that's it!

The original question was where is the print screen key on a Mac laptop keyboard.

I am running windows 7 ultimate on a brand new mac book pro.

hold down [fn] + [shift] + [F11]

You have just copied the screen into the paste buffer, Now paste it into Word, Excel, Paint, PhotoShop, etc. with [Control] + [v].

If you only want to copy the active window, then hold down [fn] + [shift] + [option/alt] + [F11]. Now paste that into Word, Excel, Paint, PhotoShop, etc. with [Control] + [v].

I do agree with those who like the "Snipping Tool" in Vista and Windows 7, much easier.

on the smaller apple keyboard, under the windows 7 OS with current drivers installed, hold down the FN, Shift, and F11 keys at the same time. This will give you the desired results.
