Slower is better

I tend to burn at 1/2 the speed and generally been very happy. However, if you have a task of doing 10-100's of burns then you push your luck at higher speeds even if capable. The idea behind slower speeds is the full-effect of doing the burn because the time hovering at a given space is greatly enhanced and/or improved because it doesn't hurry along. If the disks you burn are only used to spread info/data and not to be stored for long periods, it may do quite well otherwise it may fail sooner on repeated usage and/or "reads" as the case maybe excluding human handling or mounting.
