I didn't have any particular device in mind, just a general question. But i think I figured it out with more research. I repeat, I think I figured it out. Ok, some 6 pin devices require the power the 6 pin provides in order to operate properly, and some, even though they are 6 pin, do not require the power. So, if you are using a pc with a 4 pin port, and adapt it to 6 pin, when you connect the 6 pin to a device, it is only going to work with 6 pin devices that do not need the power provided by a 6 pin. And conversely, it is not going to work with 6 pin devices that require the 6 pin power. So I guess, simply because 4 pin does not provide power and 6 pin does. I hope I made sense on this. And I am not 100% sure I know what I am talking about.
