Partly green screen

Hi, i have a strange problem that I have never encountered before. My screen colors are... Well, all greenish. I am using windows. On boot (bios) the black part of the screen (background, that should be black) is green, and everything else after boot-up is greenish. I wanted to know - is this a monitor problem or video card? Me myself think that if it would me my video card, I wouldn't see anything at all. There was a flickering connecting my monitor to PC... Can you help me out? Should I buy a new monitor, or another connection cable? Or.. is it a video card..? If it is I have a spare one so it's not a problem. Please help me out! Thank you for your answers happy

Since the BIOS screen is off.

It's likely to be the display. To diagnose this we use another PC and Display to nail it.

Unplug monitor and test

Depending on your monitor as you gave no clue what it is. Unplug from PC and hit the display adjustments display, known as OSD(user frt. panel). Being unplugged from PC its entirely on its own display. If the display is greenish, then the monitor is at fault. If not then video source is. You can test on another PS, but the 1st suggestion should reveal the problem. If this is an old monitor you now have an excuse to get new. wink
