PC randomly shut off.. PSU failure, or something worse??

Me and a friend were screwing around on our minecraft server, when my pc randomly shut off. when i hit the power button to turn it back on, the cpu fan, case fans, and other LED's were all functioning properly (as far as i could tell) but nothing was being displayed on my monitors(4) no bios, no 'starting windows', no epic "ASRock Extreme4" logo, etc..
i tried the infamous 'unplug it and plug it back in' trick, but no luck. i've had problems with a previous psu failure before, but it didn't act like this one.
IS this a psu problem? or could my mobo be fubar?
note: my psu is a Thermaltake 850w 80+bronze.
mobo: ASRock Extreme 4 990FX AM3+
CPU: AMD FX-6200 3.8ghz
GPU: Radeon HD 6950 2gb
16gb Kingston HyperX blu ddr3 ram.
