Printer drivers aren't working?

I have an Acer Aspire, AMD chip- I have an HP all in one printer that won't work on it- says it's not supported by my laptop?
Anybody else have this issue before, or idea how to fix it?

Go to HP support and drivers, cite the printer model number and OS, see if there are downloadable drivers for the unit, many times there are unless the printer is too far down the road. Normally what I do, if the drivers are available, is to save them to file, to downloads generally, so that I can burn a hard copy (CD) for future use and then just RUN the drivers into the system from download. You didn't mention your OS or the model of the unit , it is very easy to check if this would be a viable set up.
