laptop 3d screen replacement question...never done before 3d

okay , so i have a y560p with a 6570 graphics card capable of 3d, ive tried this on my friends 3d tv. anyways this model comes with a 15.6 inch 2d 60hz display , but i have a 3d 15.6 inch 3d 120hz display installed . the 3d display came with the display and the connector , and i installed the display with the connector that was already included in my laptop . but when i started up my laptop it failed to recognize
the 120hz by only displaying 60hz. should i have connnected it with the cable given or will this simply not work? or should i be doing something else , there are no y560d display drivers just the graphics card driver (up to date) .what should i do any help no1 has done this before not that i can google not even the technician that installed it

What web site tells us how to do this upgrade? I've never heard it was possible.

What other equipment/s is needed? I am pretty certain it's not just plug and play. If I am not mistaken I believe there are 2 or 3 different type of 3D display method for computer. Other equipments or setup may be required. Which setup do you use?
