I know that the more core , the better but that was not an exact answer to my question

I wanna to know that having a Core-i7 CPU with 1.8 Ghz Clock Speed means that this CPU has 7 cores each one with separate 1.8 Ghz Clock Speed or not

You'll see the number of cores and whether or not it offers hyperthreading but it will be your OS and software that determine whether or not full advantage if the processors capabilities.

No...there aren't 7 cores but you can check the Intel site

In short, it does not affect CPU performance. Again we must keep it simple and not have a course in computer science here.

Due to a lot of work the SMP (symmetric multiple processing) system helps avoid the CPUs waiting for each other.

And since Intel has that turbo boost feature, we know that a core can boost its speed past that 1.8GHz.

Nothing here is simple but we must keep it simple.

Hello,

A core is a processing unit. It may or may not have a number of caches of its own, depending on the design of the chip. What most people consider the memory that means the main RAM is not directly connected to the idea of a core.
