All USB's have stopped working

my computer has 2 sets of USB's 2 are on the frunt and then 5 on the back. The problem is that all have stopped working. Now i can not even use a keyboard or mouse to do anything with on my computer. I switched the hard drive seeing if i could be a software issu but the problem was still their. How can i fix this?

We have to believe you that on that other harddrive was a version of an OS that should have worked with USB on this PC. Did you check with a Linux Live disk?

If it fails with all OS'es, it's a hardware issue. A new motherboard should be the solution then.

First check out the hard disk and then further will be able to suggest something else.

And you have looked in Device Manager to see what is shown under USB controllers?
