Custom Gaming PC Build

Hi,I've decided to have a gaming PC custom built for me, and I admit that hardware isn't my strongest skill set. I was wondering if anyone could see any potential problems with the following setup at all.The price of it is coming out at just about $950, so anyway thank you for taking the time to read and and for lending me your expertise.

Clarification request: Odd video card and power supply.

1. I'd choose off Tom's list at link. (didn't find the 550 on the list.)

2. The PSU looks to have 25 Amperes for the +12V line. The 550 appears to want 24 Amperes on the +12V line.

This would not be a happy build.

Your right Bob, I've been informed that the build needed a lot of revision. After a lot of modifcation, etc I ended up with the following build.

Case: Zalman Z9 Plus Mid-Tower Gaming Case CPU:

Just my thought. Nice touch to be able to move an i7 later.

Why the CPU cooler? The i5 is not known to run hot.

Honestly Bob I'm much more proficient at software then I am hardware, and it was recommended to me. It doesn't seem to cost that much, so I can't see any reason not to. One thing trying to put together specs for a gaming PC has taught me that my hardware education has been sorely neglected. I'm going to need to brush up a lot in the coming months.

Personally I'm not much for liquid cooling as there are many many efficient air options that cool so much better than the stock i5 Intel cooler...see some over at http://www.frostytech.com

How do you plan to back up your system??

External Hard Drive

I have a 500 gigabyte external hard drive I use for backups, it works fairly well for me. I will also check out Frosty Tech, thanks for the link.
