Has Anyone tried the Cassette2USB Converter

i have a number of audio cassettes and would like to convert them to itunes. this product claims to convert cassettes to digital files. i would like to know if anyone has successfully converted cassettes to digital, and if so, have they used this product?

Not this one but almost all reviews are negative.

What you end up with is less than what most hoped for. That is, even though it is not a faulty product, cassette tape has a lot of noise and these faithfully reproduce that noise. At least it doesn't get worse over time.

Cassettes to digital

I think folks make things more complicated than they need to be. I still have a quality cassette deck and use it to transfer tapes into the computer, using a very good little downloadable media program called Jetaudio. Converting the music to whichever format desired is easy enough after it is in the computer. The tape deck is simply plugged into the 'in' jack on the sound-card. I've done the same thing with my records and record-player. Good luck.

You mention how easy it is, but how easy is it to edit out noise, etc. from the converted music? And how good does it sound?

Noise editing also removes what you wanted.

In every case, pop reduction also reduces other wanted sounds. There is no magic in these software. NONE make the recording as good as you can get from masters or most CDs.
