Hey everyone.
My video card is giving me a hard time. Recently Minecraft has been crashing - a lot. It is guaranteed to happen whenever I play it. It might take a minute or ten, but it will crash. It crashes in two ways:
1. It crashes the entire system in a spectacular fashion, spitting out artifacts like this, or, alternatively, simply changing the screen to one color. 99% of the time the system does not recover; although a few times it has been able to recover, usually displaying a "driver recovered from a crash" message.
2. The program simply locks up. I can usually get out of this; it doesn't happen often, unfortunately.
The crash did display itself one time outside of Minecraft; I'm guessing that the game does something to trigger a video card problem.
I'm guessing my video card's dying. It looks like bad video RAM. What do you guys think?

Try without the case cover and since it's so new, think "Warranty."

The warranty's out. It's a year and a half old. Not that old, but the warranty has run out.
It gets hot, idles 70-80 degrees C, under load hits 90, but it's always done that. It's done that from day one, and heck, even in a different build. (Same card.) It's first generation Fermi. It gets real hot, and it's built to withstand it (specs say it can withstand up to 105).
Some interesting stuff - I had 2 BSODs today. On the first one, the screen turned one color (not blue), and I wouldn't have known it was a BSOD, but Windows told me as soon as I logged on. On the other one, I had the same problem as I've had in Minecraft, but it happened right before the login screen would have come up. (Jeez, that one looked messy.)
Here's the info from the first BSOD, and the second. What does it look like to you?

It's aging fast. BSODs due to video card issues are well discussed. I'll just confirm that all the clues point to trying another card.
