PC hardware forum: PC will not start

It could be the much reported problem with bad capacitors which a visual inspection for bulges and leaks might reveal. Something is causing the overload at initial startup and the PS is shutting down. It could be that the restart works as the caps are already somewhat pre-charged. A virus can have no affect on a PC until Windows tries to load. I doubt that's the direction to go. Your problem is in the hardware.

That's always a bad sign. Given the cheap price of a PSU versus a new system I would do that. HOWEVER FANS ALL RUN is not a good test. The tech would use a Volt Meter, the best techs use an oscilloscope.

replaced PSU, no luck, same symptoms. Any ideas?

before the no video and no booting problem......when I would start the PC I would here 1 single beep as it was powering up / booting. Does this point to something?

Though burn marks could be from excessive load by what's being powered, they often occur almost spontaneously. Power supplies do produce heat which can cause deterioration of circuit boards slowly turning resins into carbon. Carbon in an electrical conductor and, eventually, the load on the PS will increase as current begins to flow through it. This generates more heat and hastens the carbon production. This process eventually cascades causing sudden failure of the PS. While it's possible that the PS failed for other reasons, it's more probable that it self destructed and that replacing it will restore function of the PC without need for paranoia.

your pc need to a rest and you must consult that in pc repair shop so you will now what happen then..i think your pc have a problem with your harddisk .
