Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 Battery Problem

I keep getting a the pop-up saying that my mouse is low on battery. Even on a new battery. If i were to press the "off" button and/or remove the battery and put it back in, it goes back to normal, with the green light, and if I keep doing this and the mouse last a 2-3 months.
Now to the real problem. The main problem isn't the fact about the pop-up, but every time the mouse tells the computer that its low on battery, the mouse sends random signal to the computer. It seems like every button on the mouse is pressed, I get the low on battery pop-up, then if I'm surfing the web the back button is pressed infinite times so I end up on the very first page (back is a shortcut on the mouse), the magnifying glass function also pops up (another shortcut) and the switch between window function pops up (again another shortcut). All these functions are activated at the same time, every time the battery pop-up comes up.
Now I don't mind pressing the power button and such if the pop-up pops up, its a minor inconvenience that I can deal with, but the fact that the mouse goes ballistic every time is very very annoying. Turning off the functions is a possibility that I can think of but it destroys the reason of using this mouse.
Is there anyway to turn off the battery warning or something, cause I don't think the mouse should go ballistic whenever its low on battery.
