Ati-Radeon Update

I wish I had a lot of info but I can't see it anymore. I saw windows update had video driver update so i went to the catalyst control center to obtain updates.That OS is windows vista 64-bit. I crosschecked all the info for the update as I chose from the drop down menu. I started download, made choices on where etc, got up got soda, came back to system needs to restart. restarted and now no display...have no clue what to do. cant do a restore if i cant see. have hd 34?? and according to hardware info is pcie. searching thier website found a fix, not sure if its what i need for sure, but still no way to see what i am doing. HELP?

ok so i was able to restore by using safe mode however....there is really no way of knowing that there are issues by the page the catalyst control center sends you to after choosing hardware..http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=vista64/common-vista64 And what do you do when you apparently need a driver update that is incompatible....

I know that it can be frustrating to get a 'bum' update from the AMD site, my only advise is to 'roll back' to an earlier catalyst or use the software that came with the install cd.

I have read that there were some problems with the last (10.3) catalyst suite, but that seems to have been ironed out now, the next update should be along in the next couple of days. If you would like to address the issue with AMD, here are their links

is it an integrated video card

or a dedicated card. Meaning; is there a physical card in a PCI-E slot, or do you plug your cable into the motherboard itself?

If you have a dedicated card the drivers are on the AMD.Game website, as are the current drivers for 'integrated cards'
