On board graphics card disabled - how do I re-enable???

I purchased a new HP 8100n pc with integrated display adapter, i have a dual monitor set up, so I wanted to install a PCI graphics card. Once I installed the pci card the pc for some reason disabled the on- board card.

How do I re-enable the on-board graphics in addition to having the PCI card installed? I have read a few threads that mention this same problem, but I haven't seen a resolution to the problem.

Get into the BIOS and for the onboard setting change it from AUTO to one of the other settings.

I've tried this, there is an option for "onchip" and "pci" , no matter which one is sellected it defaults to the pci so long as it's installed. I talked to HP and they claim that there is no way around this, but I'm not sure I buy that since I've done this exact same setup on several other pc's... They were "business" pc's dx2200's and dx2300's though.

There must be a way to bypass this limitation.

HP programmed their BIOS this way. To fix it you would have to change the motherboard (cheapest fix) or see if mrbios.com has a solution.
