PC hardware forum: lrand error in windows mem diag??

lrand error in windows mem diag??

I have x2 512mb RAM sticks in my pc, my pc was crasing lately and i downloaded the microsoft memory diagnostic program to check for errors in my memory for my pc. When the test was running, it said that the "lrand" test failed, but everything else is passed. I ran it a few times and it the "lrand" test always failed. Is it possible to fix this error? or do i have to replace my ram or some other piece of hardware in my pc??

Sadly, it means we swap the sticks out.

And retest. Long ago I did change the failed memory chip on the stick but costs dictate we don't do that anymore.
