PC hardware forum: Best 2.1 Speakers

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards. It is the least expensive and comes with a useful mini to RCA adapter. Plus I'm not that serious about audio and probably could not tell the difference between the Logitech and the Klipsch.

I bought these and moved my older Cambridge Soundworks (now distributed by Creative Labs) to anothe PC. I thought these Cambridge speakers could not be beat and I paid almost $300 for them years ago. The Klipsch are better. The highs are much cleaner and the bass is more accurate. The mids need some tuning through the software but this is easily done. I bought these on sale for a bit over $100 and am quite happy with them.

the best thing is to play a CD or DVD you are familiar with(heard or played on yr system)so that you can judge it for self.
you dont have to be a geek to know tech specs , most are gibberish anyway to layman,
play by ear
buy stuf which suits yr taste, pocket and useage.
most 2.1 are good enough with the separate boom box having good bass resonse.

I have Altec Lansing VS4221 speakers on one of my PC's and Logitech Z-2300 speakers on the other.
