OK, Platinum PPC, you're on!!!

Got my LCD monitor and it's using the dual analog card that I have had in for some time.

It's a Jaton dual using Nvidia MX 4000 [turns out that the digital I bought is a FX 5200, but no hurry to put that in].

What I want to do, when in the forums, example hardware forum. I always open a thread with a new window. My aim is have the basic forum page stay on the left monitor and have the new window always show on the right monitor.

I'm also going to ask Toni H. to look here. She has a way to make the new window the same size as the regular window [which I am using]. Wondering If by repeating her process and also relocating the window will hold. I just forgot the first step of the process.

Using XP Pro, both monitors at 1280 X 1024. 17 inch CRT and 17 inch LCD. Obviously the CRT screen is really only about 16 inch [diagonal].

If I remember the Nvidia card allowed for a couple modes, but I got confused about which mode did what with respect to what I want to do.

Running Win XP pro.

I thought I remember an option where you could cascade windows or some such thing. I can't seem to find that in XP.

right click the taskbar area where open windows show up, and it's in the menu....make sure you have the taskbar unlocked though.

Open new window.....right click the IE icon at the start button, choose properties, change it from Normal to Maximized. Open IE......right click any link, choose Open In New Window,,,drag with the mouse to change the size manually, close the first IE window, then close the new one you just resized.

All done.......

I could resize it and have it stay without the first step re the IE icon. Thus I forgot what that step was. Thanx, I'll try that in a little while. It's a little unclear as to what contitutes the new window for the purpose of dragging.

Re the cascading, I was looking in IE rather than basic Windows screen. Also thanx for this one.

When I right click on the task bar, the options are greyed out. It sure looks as if Tile Hrizontally would be an ideal option. How can I get to use it????

The name Jaton is one that I'd never entertain. The stories were so horrid that those sparks you see in special effects were us grinding up Jaton products.

Robert, I've had this dual card in this

system for close to a year. I simply am NOT, in any way, A power user. Don't even show vikdeos on any computer.

But, the card with the DVI and analog for my next trial is a cheap Gigabyte FX5200. Probably not much better. Will probably keep that one in after I finish playing with dual analog.

a long time. Long time ago when I googled for a dual video card, Jaton seemed to be the ones that showed.

Now at Newegg you can get a Jaton if you search for it by the name, else it doesn't show using their search for a dual monitor. Only shows the real ones. LOL
