So....whaddya think?

I mean products like this:

It seems like it might be hard to type on them. Like you'd be reduced to "2 finger typing", in which case the touchscreen keyboard might as well get used instead.

But I like the idea of a portable, small keyboard for writing emails and asking questions like this in Wi Fi hotspots. I don't plan to do work(typing reports, etc.) with these, but I do type a lot when I'm online...using email, bulletin boards, etc.

I tried the keyboard on a 10" Acer Netbook once, and it drove me crazy. My fingers kept hitting something, and accidentally tabbing. I wanted to beat my head against the table until I passed out. It screwed up my typing so much, and it wasn't even a mini-keyboard. But to be fair, I haven't gotten to try the mini-keyboards, so I'm here for your opinions.

Over the years I've tested several mini keyboards and frankly they do not work for me, I always seem to screw up on them, as you mentioned. It is not necessarily that my fingers are too big it is just that I am a fairly fast typist and tend to go faster than the minis will allow. Probably with practice you might acclimatize to the size difference but honestly I just gave up, though they are a pretty neat idea, for some.
