VGA Mouse?

Would anyone know where I can purchase online an optical mouse with scroll-wheel that has a VGA male connector in place of the more standard USB one? I can't find one anywhere.

I'm asking as my place of work uses computers that have VGA connectors for the mice, but the default ones are useless...

VGA is only video output, never mouse input. You might mean a serial mouse? Then maybe the adapter from http://www.hardwarebook.info/PS/2_to_Serial_Mouse is useful?

Ah, that would explain why my searches where in vain. One of the technicians in charge of our equipment told me it was a VGA connector - he was probably wrong.

I'll buy a PS/2 mouse and then get a serial connector for that, I suspect that will probably be easier than getting a mouse with a serial connector (or that is what my quick search of Amazon would suggest).

PS/2 Serial mice are quite rare and that adapter

Does not work unless the mouse has that feature.

I strongly suggest you look around ebay for these older items.

It has already posted to you that you need a "serial mouse" type, a much older mouse. The only reason to use such is because you have an older PC. So, you better provide a fix for your problem, it maybe best to explain what your PC is, more details. Alas, you may run into problems once you do find a good serial mouse. Otherwise, you can be looking for the wrong mouse, if you have PS/2 type connection, again used by older PC's called "legacy ports". If possible post a link to photos, us a public sharing service or simply provide details of your PC.
