Manage updates with the Download App
I have a CyberPower 850 UPS. For the last few weeks a message in the systray says a usb device not recognized. When I go into it vaguely mentions CyberPower. Now there's a message that ppped.exe has stopped. Looked it up and it refers to this again. Windows says that I have the most recent driver. Don't see anything at CP about this. Any cures for this?

I too am seeing odd things like that. Even more so when the machines get blasted with registry cleaners and driver updates.

You probably have some USB monitoring cable or its used for immediate notification of some sort to the PC attached or being monitored. Possibly the cable got hosed or disconnected or as already mentioned the driver is misbehaving. Simply reload the original driver and take it from there. use the actual loading s/w or point to it when the driver section of the device mgr. is displayed to reload driver.

I beg to differ. I use this only as an information not trying to use or defer to any s/w pitches. It's the details they provide and generally its quick and to the point. I'm sure there are others just as informational based, but I like to think one can see what the intend of the link was meant to be. -----Willy

I have a few moderators that are a little fed up with them and registry cleaners in general.
Maybe with Windows 8 (that is going to be interesting) we'll see what "Draconian" really means.
