Keyboard Wedged scanner Symbol LS2208

Hello all!

I have a Symbol LS2208 Barcode scnner Keyboard Wedged, but it doesn't seem to work.
I connect the scanner with the PS/2 port on the computer and connect the keyboard with the other connection of the Y-shaped cable. PC doesn't recognize neither scanner nor keyboard. I know the scanner is functioning, because it bleeps and lights up and does scanner-like things when I don't connect the keyboard.

Sounds silly (and no, I'm not a blonde...), I know, but I really cannot figure it out. Anyone with a bright idea?

Sounds like a broken wire. If you research the 5 wires you can see where this can partially fail.

Try another scanner as I rarely find folk will pay to have these fixed.
