I am having a problem setting up the duplex printing option. Either I have to print using the manual tray which always ends up crooked. OR, I use the only combination of settings that will get the duplex done, but it spits out one blank page, then the duplex printed page, then another blank page. So, not wasting any paper, but highly annoying. I was using Duplex when I first got it and I had it working right. I wrote down the settings, but now that setting is the one spitting out blank pages. What combinations of duplex settings can I use that will eliminate this problem.
Here's the first combo: This gets one blank, printed duplex and another blank:
"Multiple page: Normal"
"Duplex/booklet: Duplex"
"Duplex settings: Long Edge"
"Paper settings: First page: AutoSelect, 2nd page: same as first page
Here's the 2nd combo: same result
"Multiple page: Normal"
"Duplex/booklet: Duplex"
"Duplex settings: Long Edge"
"Paper settings: First page: AutoSelect, 2nd page: Tray1
Here's the 3rd combo: takes manual page, prints one side, I put back in manual slot as instructed, spits out my paper and another paper with the second side of my printout
"Multiple page: Normal"
"Duplex/booklet: Duplex (manual)"
"Duplex settings: Long Edge"
"Paper settings: First page: AutoSelect, 2nd page: same as first
Here's the 4th combo: same result as #3
"Multiple page: Normal"
"Duplex/booklet: Duplex (manual)"
"Duplex settings: Long Edge"
"Paper settings: First page: tray1, 2nd page: tray1
Give me some other suggestions! I got this printer specifically for the added option of duplex printing. I don't want to have to keep gathering the blank pages and putting them back. This is especially bad if I'm using a paper with a design.
