LCD/DVI

I have an HP 21" widescreen LCD monitor that was bundled with my HP PC. It also has both a DVI and VGA connector and is HDTV ready. Comcast is my cable provider. I got a Motorola HDTV cable box that also has a DVI connector and connected it directly to the monitor. If your cable box has an HDMI connector you can get an HDMI/DVI adaptor. My PC is connected to the VGA connector on the monitor. DVI only passes video signals. You will need to connect audio either using standard RCA cables (cable box to monitor, if your monitor has audio inputs) or you can connect the audio to an A/V receiver (or home theater system) using regular RCA audio cables or COAX/Optical 5.1 connectors (SPDIF) which is how I have it set up.
Hope this helps. Good luck....
